SCHOOL BUSES

Only students given approval by the Office of Pupil Transportation (OPT) are permitted to ride on a school bus to and from school. If you would like to inquire on your student’s eligibility, please contact the main office or call OPT directly at (718) 392-8855

Families are welcome to contract private bus companies. However, please note that these buses are not regulated by the Department of Education. Please speak to the main office if you contract a private company for your child.

All bus students, private or city school bus, must follow P.S. 280Q protocols:

By default, all bus students will be taken home by their respective buses during dismissal.

The arrival time at their designated drop off address may vary due to traffic, amount of students on the bus, bus route, etc. Please speak with your bus driver for further details. We suggest all parents be at the bus stop waiting for their children at least ten minutes early.

Students who are not picked up on time at their respective bus stop will be brought back to the school and must be picked up at P.S. 280Q immediately.

Students who misbehave on the bus run the risk of being suspended from receiving these bus services.
