A Message from Ms. Andujar, Principal

Welcome Back, Lionhearts!

Dear Lionheart Students, Families, Staff, and School Community,

It is with a full heart and great pride that I welcome you to another school year at P.S. 280Q, Home of the Lionhearts.

Every new school year gives us a chance to begin again—to reconnect, to grow, to dream bigger, and to create meaningful memories together. When I walk through our hallways and see our students smiling, learning, asking questions, and building relationships, I am reminded of why this work is so important.

At P.S. 280Q, we believe that everyone has a genius. Every child who enters our doors brings something special to our community. Our responsibility is to see that potential, nurture it, and create the conditions for every student to feel known, valued, supported, and capable of great things.

Our school is more than a building. It is a community, a family, and a place where our children should feel safe, welcomed, loved, and inspired. Together, we lead with H.E.A.R.T.—Honesty, Excellence, Accountability, Respect, and Teamwork. These values remind us that how we treat one another matters just as much as what we accomplish.

To our students, know that you are the reason we are here. I hope you enter each day knowing that your voice matters, your ideas matter, and your dreams matter. Believe in yourself, be kind to others, take chances, and never be afraid to grow.

To our families, thank you for trusting us with your most precious gifts. Your partnership means more than you know. When home and school stand together, our children feel that support, and they thrive.

To our dedicated staff, thank you for showing up each day with care, patience, passion, and commitment. The relationships you build and the encouragement you give can stay with a child for a lifetime.

As your principal, I am deeply honored to serve this community. I remain committed to leading with H.E.A.R.T., being present, listening, supporting, and working alongside each of you so that every Lionheart has the opportunity to succeed.

As we begin this new school year, may we continue to lift one another up, celebrate our successes, learn from our challenges, and always remember that we are stronger when we work together.
