The Parent Teacher Association, or PTA, is an organization open to all parents and caregivers of students attending P.S. 280Q. The primary mission of the PTA is to involve, enrich and improve the educational and social-emotional experiences of our students. Parent involvement is an integral piece of this mission.

All parents and/or legal guardians are automatically members of the PTA and are invited to attend each monthly PTA Meeting. During this time, parents are informed of the different events and initiatives taking place at the school, as well as any updates or changes that have occurred. Additionally, parent workshops may be held at this time as well.

Coffee with the Principal

This monthly event allows parents to ask questions and share concerns directly with the Principal, fostering a collaborative environment that positively impacts students' academic progress. Additionally, it serves as an excellent platform for parents to connect with one another and celebrate the school's achievements.

Important PTA Meeting Schedule Update 2025-2026

Dear Families and Staff,

In an effort to make our PTA meetings more accessible, we are changing the meeting schedule to every other month in the evening. This will provide more opportunities for families to participate at times that work for their schedules. Your involvement is vital to the success of our school community, and we are excited to create more chances for collaboration. Please look for upcoming dates and we hope to see you there!
